WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With President George W. Bush still intent on overhauling Social Security, Democrats who control Congress show no sign of backing off their opposition to his proposal to create private investment accounts.
More . . .
Why can't Bush leave it alone. He has money to live on, most of the rest of us don't and know very little about investing.
It is just like the border situation and now the war in Iraq. He does not listen Elections will not come too soon.

I am furious that when I retire I will not receive all the SS benefit I have earned due to the windfall law which takes a percentage of my SS based on the public employee retirement I'll receive. As a nurse I have worked in the private and public sector. How will I ever retire when my soical security benefit is depreciating as my PERS benefit increases?
